With patience, the ability to keep still and a little luck, National Park Jenner unfolds its natural beauties before your eyes. The most interesting hiking trails, leading to or beginning at the top terminal or mid-station of the cable car Jennerbahn, pass or cross the National Park Berchtesgaden. In the largest and oldest protected area in the German Alps the rare kings of the high mountain regions, imperial eagle and mountain goat, have found refuge. Wood grouse, black grouse, snow hare, marmot, chamois and deer live in this area as well.
